Bra storage and care tips

  • 1 min read

Wondering how to take care of your bra? Guilty of throwing your bras in the washing machine? Or folding them in half and stuffing them in your drawer? Here are some bra storage and care tips and tricks on washing, drying and caring for your bras to ensure they last longer.

How to properly wash a bra

Bras will last longer if you take good care of them, and it's important to read the wash and care labels to ensure you get maximum wear. A warm hand wash is the best way to ensure your bras last longer, but if you're in a hurry, a gentle machine wash - using a lingerie bag - will work just fine.

Can you tumble dry bras?

Always air-dry! Tumble dryers can actually break down the elastic, causing it to shrink or fall apart. Instead, hang them outside on the line, in the shade, so they don’t lose their colour.

Bra storage: What's the best way to store bras?

Lie them flat - never folded in half - with cups inside of each other to help them hold their shape.

How often should you replace your bra?

A general rule of thumb is that if you're wearing your bra on the tightest hook, and it's still riding up your back, throw it out! We recommend replacing your bras every 6 months.
